Pleasant Valley

Rehabilitation to one of the town of Lenox’s oldest structures which is located on Mass Audubon’s Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary. Pleasant Valley’s historic barn which provides event space and toilet facilities is not ADA compliant. The Barn needs significant upgrades. The proposed rehabilitation will make the barn and toilets ADA-compliant and will make pleasant valley accessible to the broader community. The proposed improvements will greatly extend the functionality of the barn while respecting its historic character. The rehabilitation includes accessible entrance lobby/vestibule, accessible observation deck, accessible family toilet room, men’s toilet room, women’s toilet room, kitchen, storage and will be fully winterized. The existing addition will be removed, and all upgrades will be housed in a new addition.
